Local Essentials

Pharmacies, ATMs, and everyday services. Everything you need for a stress-free stay.

Pharmacies (The Green Cross)

There are two main pharmacies in Elounda, both located on the main road heading toward the square. They are highly professional and most staff speak excellent English.

Pro Tip: Look for the illuminated green cross. If it’s a Sunday or late at night, one pharmacy in the region is always “on-call” (the schedule is posted on their door).

Supermarkets (Stocking the Villa)

For your daily needs, there are several “mini-markets” in the harbor. For a larger shop, the two main supermarkets are located near the church.

Pro Tip: Fresh bread is usually delivered early in the morning. If you want the best local honey or olive oil, these markets often stock products from Elounda farmers.

Mobile & Tech Repair

Cracked your screen or dropped your phone in the sea? There is a specialized local shop that handles quick repairs and sells chargers, cables, and SIM cards.

Pro Tip: The owner is a highly specialized professional that can literaly repair anything so don’t hesitate to visit the shop for any inquiry.

ATMs & Banking

You will find a cluster of ATMs right on the harbor front and near the main square. Most major banks (Alpha Bank, Piraeus, etc.) have machines here.

Pro Tip: Most local tavernas and shops prefer cards now, but it’s always smart to have some cash for the “Little Train”, smaller fruit stalls or just to tip the waiters.
